Intellectual property

All content on this website is my intellectual property. You may share blog posts on social media, but you may not copy, duplicate, or distribute my texts or content without prior permission.

Privacy agreement

I am committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy applies when you visit my website or share information with me, online or offline. By visiting this website or sharing data with me, you agree to this privacy policy.

Secure connection

All data shared via this website is transmitted through a secure SSL connection. This website is hosted by Krystal Hosting (UK), with servers in Amsterdam. Krystal Hosting is EU GDPR-compliant.

Third parties

Everything shared within our sessions remains strictly confidential. I may only share your data with third parties if required by law, such as in the context of a criminal investigation. I will never share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

Add these alongside the existing SendFox and Krystal Hosting entries:

  • WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) — for text, voice, and video communication with clients.
  • Zoom — for online video sessions.
  • Stripe, Mollie, Paypal — to process payments for sessions, packages, and WhatsApp services.

Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policy, in addition to this one.

What data is collected?

I collect data in two ways:

Data you actively provide: when you sign up for my newsletter, I ask for your first name and email address. This data is stored securely in SendFox, my email system. Please note that SendFox has its own terms and privacy policy.

Data collected automatically: when you visit my website, your device automatically shares technical information with me —such as your IP address, operating system, browser, and approximate location (region or country). This happens through cookies, and you will be notified when you visit the site.

How is this data used?

Your data is used solely to deliver the newsletter and any related communications you have signed up for.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to my newsletter, I collect your name and email address, stored via SendFox. I use this only to let you know when I’ve published something new on the blog—nothing beyond that, and I don’t share your details with anyone else or use them for other marketing.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email you receive, or by contacting me directly. Once you unsubscribe, I remove your name and email from SendFox within 30 days, unless you’d like them removed sooner.

Sessions and WhatsApp communication

When you book a session, package, or WhatsApp service with me, I collect the personal information needed to arrange and deliver that work: your name, contact details (email and/or WhatsApp number), and payment or invoicing information. If we work together via WhatsApp—for booked video sessions or for the single-question and monthly WhatsApp services—this also includes the content of our text and voice message exchanges.

I process this information because it’s necessary to provide the service you’ve booked, not on the basis of the newsletter consent described above. I don’t use it for marketing unless you’ve separately opted in to my newsletter.

Because our conversations may touch on personal, psychological, or health-related topics, I treat this information with the same confidentiality I apply to any therapeutic or coaching relationship, and I don’t share it with third parties beyond what’s described under “Third parties.”

Retention. I keep invoicing and payment records for as long as Belgian law requires (currently 7 years), even if you request earlier deletion, because I’m legally required to retain them. I keep session notes and message history only as long as they’re useful to our work together, and delete them within 12 months of our last session unless you ask me to remove or retain them sooner.

International transfer. WhatsApp is operated by Meta, and Zoom is a US-based company; using either means some of your data may be processed outside the EU. Both rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards recognized under EU law, but I can’t offer you the same direct control over that data as I can over information collected through this website.

Cookies

This website uses cookies — small text files placed on your device to improve your browsing experience and recognize returning visitors. The following types of cookies may be placed:

Functional cookies: necessary for the website to function properly. Analytical cookies: used to track visitor behavior on the website.

Access, modification, or deletion of data

You can request that your data be updated or deleted at any time by emailing me. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link at the bottom of every email. Your data will be fully removed from the system within 30 days of your request. This doesn’t apply to information I’m legally required to retain, such as invoicing records — see ‘Sessions & WhatsApp Communication.’

You have the right to object to the processing of your data, or to withdraw consent previously given. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

Disclaimer

I have no control over information you voluntarily share in public spaces, such as social media comments or blog reactions. I am not liable for any misuse of such information by third parties.

Disputes

We will always seek a solution together first. If that proves impossible, the matter will be submitted to the court of Ghent, division Bruges/Ostend. Belgian law exclusively governs this policy.
